NEVER run out of time with OLD FRIENDS!

"Ang biglaang lakad natutuloy...ang planado ASA KA PA!"

Before I went to work I GM my friends about a dinner that would happen that night. No location, no time just an invite...then comes what's next! FIX SCHEDULE!

The funny thing is we are somehow complete despite the fact that we do work on separate departments, has different shifts, some are not working at the hotel anymore and yet...we managed to meet up! A simple dinner at Gilligan's ATC then followed by a coffee and tea time at Starbucks' Molito.

We are definitely aging...before we used to hang out every after work of 11pm. Stay at either Molokai or whatever names of the bars in Festival, then stay up late until 4 or 5am. That was our bonding before and now??? DINNER and COFFE/TEA! So mababait the old friends.

Well OLD FRIENDS will be useless if we don't have Chris with us. Why? Because he's the oldest hahahaha!!! Kidding aside, it was a fun night! Good times always with them!

Late nights with Chico!

I'm half being literal with my post title. Half true that most of my trips come November and December were late nights. Coz its mostly food trip or house visit after our PM shift duty which ends at 11pm.

Half not true when it comes to Chico! I guess others would think of chico as an alcoholic drinks or so. Then I remember the song, "Amoy chico na ako, ilang araw na hindi parin tulog" and I do hope I get the lyrics right. But a big NO! I'm not sure what comes into my mind to post the album with the same title on my facebook account. Probably it's close to my name as Chiquei so instead of that I used Chico! It looks cute to me hahahah!

There were a couple of times that we got home around 4 or 5am and my parents were awake coz they are attending the dawn mass. It's a great late night trips and the good thing was I was brought home by my friends. Safe and sound!

Now I can see my parents view of me having my own car! I can definitely hear my phone ringing almost every after 4 hours and they are trying to catch me where I am. That's too much freedom for me since I can go anywhere I want and anytime I want to! Hmmmm although I'm really a lazy driver so we'll see about that! :) I'll probably get a boyfriend/driver/travel buddy :) - that would be soooo cool!

Well we did hang out mostly in Daanghari. We had our visits at Karissa's house in the middle of the night with some take out from the nearby McDonald's and we also had our Sky Lantern event held at the open field last December 21.

Remember the predicted end of the world? We were at the open field that time. Trying to fly our failed lanterns! Hahaha! It was so easy at the movies how come it's not that easy at all. I guess for 11 of us only 2 or 3 had a successful flight of their lanterns. Mine was okay! But it got stocked on a tree at the end and I was kind of scared coz I thought it would burn the whole tree but it didn't eventually ithe fire died. So it failed! :(

Despite our failed lanterns we had so much fun bonding and laughing at Karissa's place. Then again home in the morning already. ;)

Aira's turn for the treat!

After a week of Jen's treat now it's my old friend Aira's turn who recently aged another year as she celebrated her birthday last November 30. Sad to say Jen wasn't with us that night to make "salubong" Ai's birthday!

It was a dinner full of chikahan, picture taking, updates about work, dating/fling story (my story) - I didn't even know why they always look up to it! Anyway, a treat for Aira is the fact we stayed up late for her. Me having my 7am work the next day and Carla at 8am. So to be fair I had my sleepover at Carla's place.

Aira is really a special girl to us, as everyone of as is. Also, she's my future sister-in-law, since my crazy brother from another mother (Chris) is insanely in love with her. :)

Old friends still intact!!! :)

Thanks for the treat and sorry for this late post! We'll be expecting it again this 2013! Loveyah!

Care to Share - BIGKIS Project :)

As we are about to end the year 2012, our BIGKIS team with the help of our Bellevue family conducted a project to help a day care center. The usual projects of the past BIGKIS team is to help the Marilac foundation and to help more people we decided to help the little ones and the mostly in need people.

We had an ocular of the day care center located in Brgy. Katarungan, Muntinlupa City. I'd be honest, I was so impressed with the teacher. How she managed to teach in the small classroom, how it looks so hot in the room and yet she can still stay calm. She has the real dedication of teaching and even though she earns a little from it she never gave up on teaching these little ones.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the kids and they performed a song number for us. We then feed them with the food we have of spaghetti and chicken together with their parents. Then we gave them their gifts of slippers and coloring materials, big books for story telling and the one the teacher requested is the gas stove that they needed and we also include some pans for cooking.

It has always my passion to be with kids, and I'd be honest to be a pre-school teacher was also on my list. I remember my high school days where I was one of the leader in our Catholic groups, where we visit public schools and teach the students for about an hour. It was a drive for me to care for those children and up to now it always been my passion to be around the kids.

It has been those happy times where you see you've made people so happy. The happiest thing about it is that you've helped strangers and those strangers were actually cute little angels. :)

As a treat for us, we had lunch after at Max's, Festival mall and of course more projects to come! :)

Embarked Davao

"The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd.
The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before."

One of my favorite quotes. It definitely shows individuality and the idea that in order to live we must not follow but lead ourselves.

As a celebrate my birthday I planned to go on trip, on my own. No plans at all and "we'll see" - those are my words. I booked a flight to Davao when I saw there's a promo fare. Why Davao? It's a place I've always wanted to visit, my family had the chance to visit it but I wasn't able to join them so I decided why not go on my own. Although I'm not literally on my own coz I visited my childhood best friend - Honemay.  It's a different turn for me, she usually visits me here in Manila and this time I'm the guest. The vacation was a real bonus. A treat from Balagtas family and I can say I am really blessed and thank you Papa God for that! :)

From my round trip flights I'm on my own and on my own as no one beside me on the row of the plane. :)Upon arrival at the airport I am just so happy to see my best friend and her sister Ate Jap plus Tito Bong. :) We had dinner at their house, or shall I say I had dinner since I came from a late flight. Then we head out and had coffee at Blugre coffee house, here as a tourist I tasted their Durian Coffee. it's not that bad at all but what can I say it smells like durian hahaha. :D

Day 2 started as we woke up early in the morning. We took an car hire to take us to the places we wanted to see. I didn't make plans for this tour,  let them tour me although I researched on some of the places who's hot on spot in Davao. Here my best friend also discovered that I'm literally MASA - Masandal Tulog!

Our first stop is Eden Nature Park - we didin't get any guide to tour us the big park but we did it ourselves with the use of map. We walked through the butterfly garden, prayer garden, flower garden, and the other garden types plus the forest. We also tried the Indiana Jones :) For the others I recommend that you go on your own trip, no need to wait for the tram to take you on a trip so you could value your time much better. Unless, you can't really walk that far coz it's quite tiring too.

Next stop is Malagos Garden Resort, just a little payment for the entrance fee but that wouldn't hurt your pocket. At this place it was a nice view but it could've been nicer if it's not raining when we visit it. They said that Davao's weather is somehow unpredictable, it rains and it shines both on the same day.

Then we also visited the Japanese tunnel. Mind you these destinations are not close to each other and it does makes me fall asleep while on the road. :) After the historical tour of the tunnel we headed on to the Crocodile Park. We were on time when the animals were having their little program. I'm not really a pet/animal lover so enough of me to look at them but to touch or hold them not really me especially if their REPTILES! :D We went back home almost at night time, then we had a dinner at Coco's. It seems this is one of the famous restaurants in Davao.

Day 3 in Davao is a relax day! We first went to Church then we prepared for our Samal Island get away. :) We on board a boat from Marco Polo to take us to Chema's - the resort we visited. Took a lot of pictures, ate a lot plus all good times for all of us. After dinner they took me to the highest peak in Davao, a place where we could see the city lights of Davao - The Peak. We had coffee and I definitely enjoyed the scenery, the cold weather and the bonding.

Day 4 - my last day! This time it was just me and my best friend. We tour the cityscapes of Davao, ate on different stores - BLOATED again! Took a walk in the park, story telling, shopped for pasalubongs and pizza box for dinner. Then the time has come for me to depart Davao.

A blessed journey for me and I will definitely be back. Special thanks to the family who took care of me, fed me and reminisced with me for 4 days and 4 nights - Balagtas Family. Thanks as well to my financers - my sisters who even if they are far from me they sent me monetary gifts! ;)
Most especially thank you Papa God that I'm 24 and surrounded with great people, great friends, and an awesome family!

Jampacked tummy! Yakimix + Nuah Thai + Army Navy

Somehow for this friends of mine, a planned trip is always for sure. :)

Planned activity : YAKIMIX Lunch Buffet (chikahan toda max!)

Unplanned activity: Nuah Thai Massage! A treat for all of us! + Army Navy dinner :)

A dinner date with a very much missed friend! - Yana!

Yes this lad is missed by us and the good thing is, every time she has a flight here we are to meet by hook or by crook! Two days before her 24th birthday we had our dinner together. Sorry if I have to include the age still you look amazing as always.

We met first at High street in Global City and as always it was so hard to look for a restaurant to dine in. How come this has been our difficulty ever since college and dala dala padin natin girls!?! Good thing a restaurant caught our eye, new for all of us and it's Zao Vietnamese Bistro in Serendra. The ambiance is good and the food as well, though I wasn't able to remember the prices and since it became a treat then I didn't mind.

Look how takaw we are!!!

A bonding, talked here and there, what we've been up to, who's dating who? The usual conversations of friends and it was our first time to meet Pam, well not my first but for the others. Pam the girlfriend of my talent Ivann. We're all happy for both of them and hopefully this time it's until the end. :)

After the dinner as always, we don't go home directly we always make tambay, but not the drinking session tambay, besides we already had our drinks during dinner. For us we had coffee at Krispy Kreme in High Street. Off we go at midnight and it was again a wonderful night for all of us. Until we meet again!

Relax and Refresh

After our Free Corregidor trip, a lot of time for me and Jershey to still do more things and the unplanned activity is to visit our old friend Dixie who's now working in Sofitel. Here we got a treat from her. :) Loved the watermelon and chocolate drink we had at Sofitel's Sports bar. Then more sightseeing and picture taking on their wonderful poolside.

As the sun goes down, it wouldn't stop us for a beauty regimen to relax our pretty faces. So it's time for our first facial bonding. Yup! First for both of us and we tried to go to DERMSTRATA in Festival Mall. the service was okay well it's my first time so  couldn't compare it to others but not really the maarti type when it comes to facial and all, most probably in nails and spa massages but who knows I might get a round two or try other facial care stores.

It was a great time for traveling for FREE, sumptuous treat for Snack again for FREE, plus a girl bonding for facial on our own expense this time. :) Definitely a good time!

Nostalgic Corregidor - Blast from the Past -

It has been one of those places I am rooting to visit come 2012 and I did!!!

The great thing was I was with my friend Jershey and the greatest thing was it was for FREE!!! Yes definitely for free. Special thanks to Great Sights for choosing us to be part of this Familiarization tour. Despite the cancelled first schedule trip we still conquered Corregidor on a good weather! It was a remarkable trip for both me and Jershey since it's both our first time and it's somehow set to be our girl bonding!

CALL TIME! 6:30 at CCP Bay terminal. To depart from SUNCRUISES (the only cruise line that caters trip to Corregidor) at 8am. Here we met the other hoteliers and the owner of Great Sights travel agency. We were both sleepy from a late night duty but we're definitely excited about this trip. Okay, first stop we need to ride the ferry for about an hour and fifteen minutes, quite long for me. Yup I know it's just a short trip for the others...but...I have to admit I have seasick. Of course this won't stop me from traveling! Kayang kaya ko yan, though I felt really bad like almost vomiting maybe because I didn't had much sleep the night before that's why! Luckily I survived! Yes, roundtrip I just slept and MIND OVER MATTER! Also, they have games while on board I did won two 50% off tickets for Corregidor tour which I gave as a gift to my co-birthday celebrant Abi and Darwin. :)

It was a wonderful trip from the tram ride, picture takings, story telling and lunch time! We did even inquire coz were planning to bring our whole barkada and experience an overnight trip plus the other activities like bonfire and the night tour which I heard is scary! hmmmm... definitely will be back with the whole crazy gang of Old friends!
