Marriage

FOR MARRIED COUPLES

Cute picture that says it all. :)

Eat and Run and Sing

Another treat to celebrate!

One of our most loved guest, Mr. George Lim is about to leave soon and he's been in the hotel for the past 3years. As a farewell treat from him, we had dinner at Bubba Gump located at Greenbelt Makati and after that one of the things that unite the FO family is that we love to sing...other than eat. ;)
And don't mind us if we were not that good singers we just loved too! So we head straight to Music 21 at Makati. FUN LATE NIGHT!

The funny thing was, Ms. Glennis had a text brigade with a DRESS to KILL code.
Looks like I'm the one in dress mode only! hahahahah... :P

EAT

I enjoyed having dinner here, the fact that it was mostly my part of the story telling about our trip in Bacolod. Also, the crew gave us some games about the restaurant or the movie Forrest Gump and if we have three correct answers then we'll get a treat from them - which we did! ICE CREAM!

 Looks so0oooo YUMMY! Happy TUMMY!

We even saw the kid of one of our guests. :) He's so0ooo adorable! And an ice cream treat for all the trivia they gave and we answered correctly.

Life is a race

Last Sunday I went to attend the Church service at Victory Alabang. For the past two months I wasn't able to attend services due to my busy schedule with my family.

Before the service ended, Pastor Sonny showed a video to us and it does made me cry. Life is definitely a race. We do have different races in life and it's not who wins or loses but the importance is we FINISH the race.

I would like to share this reading I had the night before I went to church.
To go forward, we must let go of the past (Philippians 3:13). After all, it's hard to run a race looking back. Forgetting the past begins by believing it's possible. Moving FORWARD depends on it.  - Regina Franklin.

Whether we attained success or we failed in the past, it's time to LET GO and continue running. We may stumble and fall in this race called LIFE. But God will definitely help us to stand again and He will help us finish the race!

Derek Redmond, a retired British athlete who won a lot of medals in his career. Although winning comes with pain and so he suffered injuries as well. During the 1988 Olympics in Seoul he pulled out 90 seconds before the race started due to an injury in his Achilles. But he didn't give up. Olympics in Barcelona in 1992, he again run in a race and this video will show you what happened, why he deserved a standing ovation from the crowd.

I have a dear friend who runs a race and whether you win or lose, your family and friends will always be proud of you! Keep up the good work Thomas! I may not be physically on the crowd but know that I am cheering for you! :)

Life is a RACE and a JOURNEY. Let's work hard and enjoy!

i'm rich!

I was before into shopping...well I think up to know but not like before wherein if I saw something I want, I would buy it not even thinking twice if I needed it. My sister always tells me that "NEEDS NOT WANTS". So practically speaking I can control the shopping part now.

I can tell I invest more into traveling! Who wouldn't??? I thank my sponsors for letting me with them in their travel for free ahahahha...and that's none other than my FAMILY!!!! wohooo....I was more inclined into traveling since I took up tourism as well. It's always fun to go to new places, discover a food to eat, a nature trip, an adventure and people to hunt...I mean to see hahahahah!

I'm not yet the explorer like DORA but I hope I could be...still a dream for me is to be a TRAVEL SHOW HOST! So if there's someone reading this post right now and would like to consider me...please do contact me...kahit sidekick lang! Basta kasama ako sa biyahe. :) The best part is always the experience! So I could tell...MAY KAYA NA AKO! hahahah I'm not poor coz I've been roaming around and more to come...Papayaman pa ako!

travel? who's IN?

I'm a fan of traveling! A wanderlust I can say...and here's to my forever TRAVEL COMPANION!
More places to see...to visit...to admire...to explore...and to share!

Perfect Two

My new LSS at the moment. The song is just light but still cute lyrics. I even thought this could be a nice song for wedding. :) Enjoy!

a bcd (bacolod) trip - the adventure

Waking up at 2am from a 10 minute nap to prepare, leaving at 3am and checking in for an early flight to Bacolod. As I've mentioned in my previos BCD post, this trip is one of my many FIRSTS.

This is my first time to depart via Cebu Pacific at the terminal 3. It is big I can tell. One thing that's funny is that we rode a bus/coaster from the gate to the actual plane passing the airport landing. At first I was joking with my friend Jershey telling her "we are not really going to ride a plane instead just a bus." And seriously shock, we did rode a bus although we still rode a plane.

Upon arrival at the airport, we were waiting for someone who will pick us up. By the way, we stayed at ms. Diwi's Mansion and we called it that way! You could see for yourself, it is for us a mansion. We were lucky enough to have our accommodation offered by one of our colleagues who unfortunately wasn't there with us in the trip.

Back to the airport. We waited for an hour, we were somehow troubled by that time by I think Tito Jerry forgot to pick us up. And then he arrived in a BMW! Oh common! Are you kidding me?! A BMW to pick us up and roam around the city (ANOTHER FIRST), plus a mansion...but wait there's more!

We then had our breakfast at Kuppa restaurant then head to the bus station for our LAKAWON BEACH.

Going there we need to ride a bus for about an hour, then a tricycle and a boat. The beach was peaceful, not a lot of guests were there when we arrived it's around noon and the heat of the sun is really burning. Since I'm not a fan of sun we just took a 30 min dip then picture taking, then a seafood sumptuous lunch!!! YUM!

And finally a dinner at Bar 21. We tasted the affordable and tasty BATCHOY! YUM. And finally...home sweet home! LIGHTS OFF...and the rest I've been wanting to have. SLEEP!

DAY 2!

Since we all had a good night sleep, we are then fully recharged! The second we were supposed to have breakfast in a restaurant. Blessed as I could say we went down the stairs and voila! - there's food! Who wouldn't say no to a hearty Filipino breakfast? I won't actually I won't in any kind of meal...or food. :) SO we ate and then we met Tita Malu and her family. Then we headed to MAMBUKAL.

I could say that MAMBUKAL is an adventure. Good thing we slept for more than 8 hours coz if not we won't be able to reach until the 7th falls. It was amazing! Truly breath taking. Again my first time to really see a waterfall and not just one but seven of them. Although partly six I think coz the 4th waterfall can't really be seen by that time. Anyway, adventure coz we were so tired. As in super tired. Not much of a work out for us so we were sweating and catching our breath while walking those slope and crossing the river and then what's really funny is that 2 little kids, like little kids with thin hands were there with our guide to assist us. I know I was not even sure at first if the kid can assist me. I'm big definitely and it's hard to push myself up and down those stones we were walking through. BUT! They were definitely awesome. They were very helpful and they even like to take pictures of us. I love those kids that's why I owe them big time. I know they won't be able to read this but KUDOS to them!

After our waterfall trekking adventure, we can't take it anymore. I don't want to go back again the same route so we took the fast lane and that's to ride a motorcycle in a bumpy and fast road. This was crazy. I never wanted to ride a motorcycle but it's a no other choice situation and so I did, luckily I am still alive. The ride was really scary!!! But it's again an experience wooohoooo....ANOTHER FIRST!

Then we had our lunch and we roam around the area and another wonderful spot is the hot spring! Freakin' hot spring but so relaxing! That's really good especially for the older ones I think they need to experience that and so I RECOMMEND! :)

For dinner, Tita Malu picked us up and we went to Chicken House to taste the famous Bacolod Chicken and wow...I've been so bloated but I can't stop eating! This trip has a lot of food trip and adventure and all the people were so great! I just couldn't ask for more...but wait there's more still. We went for a tour at the city hall where the lights were so great even at night a lot of people were there, bystanders, students, dogs too. And a tour ride around the area and last stop - another food trip! I just didn't know where did all those food fit it. We had for dessert is Calea Cakes. There are lots of restaurant in the area and we visited Calea. Cakes were good and what we did we ordered 5 different cakes so we could taste it all. YUM!

DAY 3

Long night coz when we went back we had chit chats with Mrs. Montalbo about the house, the area, the places she visited and other stuff too..We were just there talking and it was really great! Third and final day, I know I would want to stay still but we have to go. We had another round of great breakfast and then lunch at Lord Byron's back ribs! Imagine ribs for around php150.00 I guess, who wouldn't dive in this offer??? It is BIG, TASTY, and AFFORDABLE! Definitely a-must try in Bacolod. I'll definitely go back and satisfy my cravings. Even when I'm writing at this very moment I could imagine the ribs and it's killing me coz it's 1am now and I'm CRAVING!!!

The place was so simple. A nipa hut, chairs were just benches and wooden tables, no aircon, and just a very simple, little place. It's not even located in the areas along the other restaurants. It's like in a subdivision and still a lot of people go there to have this very much satisfying treat! Seriously I'm really carving for it now!

After our lunch, we went to buy some accessorize and the MELONA ice cream treat! Dessert again! Then we head back to Diwi's mansion for a pictorial. We just couldn't let it pass.

Another stop before we head back to the airport...THE RUINS! A must-see place. It was actually built by Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson in honor of his deceased wife Doña Maria Braga in 1911. In 1942, the mansion was put into fire for 3 days by the guerrilla fighters and as they say...the rest is history!  As much as I wanted to tell the story it's the tour guide, Mr. Roger Lacson who made us all laugh and wanting for more info about the place. He's really good and very much entertaining!

Well much has been written in this post but still not enough. The experience itself is one of a kind and super WORTH IT! This trip has been so meaningful to me and I'm glad I was there with my friends. We didn't mind any diet at all and we just ate - A LOT! A many firsts and more to come. Next stop - INTERNATIONAL TOUR!

- disappointment -

I'm the type of person who do not want to gamble. Gamble in a way that to risk everything. I know, I play it safe and sometimes I wish I could learn to have a LEAP OF FAITH. I do not expect good things to always happen. For example, in a job interview I usually think of negative feedback from the employers for em not to expect anything at all and be ready just in case I won't be hired. I would say I am blessed, with all the negativity in my mind I somehow passed all of it. Because I do not expect, then just in case I won't be hired I won't get disappointed.

But I'm not telling this for the others to be as negative as I am. Actually this is wrong we should always stay positive. I'm not always on the negative side I'm more of the balance side. I balance in a way if there's a downfall I always look to a brighter side...maybe there is something bound to happen, something meant for me. I weigh things and consider them wisely. Hopefully with all the decisions I made there are no regrets.

Of course I've had my share of disappointments - a dozen or more as I may say...but I do let it pass.

I've been back to reading my daily scriptures from the book my friend Emma gave me. I've been past due from my current date so I'm trying to cope up again.

Here's some of what I read. Let's learn from it.

Disappointment is a normal, human reaction to an unmet desire. Proverbs 13:12 says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life." We were intrinsically designed for hope, but living in a fallen world means facing disappointment. What we do with it makes all the difference.

The problem comes when:

- We think we deserve something
- We make our happiness dependent on whether we get what we want.

In contrast, God asks that we live a life surrendered to and dependent on Him.

Our Daily Journey with God Volume 18.

A - BCD Trip :) (Preparation)

Finally a trip I've wanted to do for the year...A date with my beshy from work, her Mahal and my favorite RM! O dba? parang double date...ka-date ko si RM. Lucky me hahahah. Sa'tin sa'tin lang isa si RM sa crush ko...and I'm just so lucky to be with him on a tour. He's like my idol pagdating sa pagtravel. And by that time I know a lot was envious about this trip for sure they wanted to be with RM too.

Anyway...before it all started I was at home, then Jershey called me, inviting me for a tour in Bacolod which was plotted on the dates of MAY 29-31. I would definitely say YES to this, but I did not. I thought about it for a dozen times, hindi na kasi uso ang hundred or thousand times eh, madalian na decision making to. Well what's stopping me? I have a request of my family trips by June for Singapore and Palawan and I know sasabunutan na ko ng Supervisor ko at mga colleagues ko sa kaka-request, which was requested January pa lang. So, undecided coz may hiya pa din naman ako. LUCKY ME!!! They allowed me and YES! That's the answer I'M IN! COUNT ME IN! DOUBLE DATE NA 'TO! Chos! hahahaha...

May 28 - requested for a morning shift already coming from PM shift, in short RETURN SHIFT! Although there's a Departmental Meeting so I still went home late. Actually, too late coz I even went to have my wax, then after had to have my nails done which ended up going home at 10PM. UNLUCKY me, I have not yet packed my things and seriously I am not the type of person who do not pack in advance. This trip will be many of the firsts!

- Things to do FIRST TIME! -
- Last minute packing of things...as in last minute. OA lang mga last 2 hours to go before leaving for airport.

- First time to NOT SLEEP AT ALL! Am I that excited not to have any sleep at all? No! Well yes I am excited but I didn't have the time to sleep for as I mentioned earlier I went home around 10PM, fixed my things to bring, booked a flight for Malaysia for June with my sisters. Then all I know it's almost 2AM and I need to prepare myself already and left the house at 3am. FIRST EARLY FLIGHT! Ok I'm excited too so I won't be able to sleep for 30mins. I just can't!

- Last minute NO CHECK IN BAG!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! When RM texted us not to have a check in luggage and only hand carry bags, I was really worried. How could I possibly fit all my kaartihan and kakikayan in a bag which I will carry all throughout the travel!? Ok for everyone's info...I am the type of person with lots of extras, especially when we're talking about travel. The whole time I was on duty I could barely think straight and thinking what to and what not to bring. Good thing I always make it to a point to run my imagination. Even at work when there is nothing much to do, I am already imagining my closet, my things to bring and I write it all down so at least even in a last minute packing I know what to do, what to bring, where to get it.

- First time to bring a BACK PACK. We are talking about not the back pack for travelers. The bag I used for my gym at Fitness First (ooopppsss name dropping) hahahah (promoting) chos! This is like a school bag for boys and yes I identified boys coz they don't bring much of the books unlike girls, sorry guys had to pull you down a bit. :) Even my friend Jershey was shocked that I was able to fit my things in that bag. 5 stars for me!

After packing my stuff I was so relieved...ahahhaha I can do it pala. I could actually become a backpacker! woohhhoooo but not yet. I still need to practice my packing skills. But seriously I was really happy I actually fit it all in my bag. Feeling ko talaga TRAVELER na ako, feeling ko lang...feelingera ako eh. Walang paki-alamanan. HAHAHAHHAHA!

Anyway, after departure and arrival from Manila (MNL) to Bacolod (BCD), I finally realized the relief of not having a check in bag at all. It was fast! The moment I could step off the plane I just go out straight no need to wait for the luggage to come out of the carousel. That would count as my first time too.

So since the title of this post says (PREPARATION) I would post another about the travel itself. Just think of this as a very long teaser. Patikim muna 'to...I'll have to edit some pictures pa...I know it's kind of late but doing this makes me reminisce all the fun things I did recently...until my next post. I'll keep you guys posted! :)
