I Am Worth It!

In a brief conversation, a man asked a woman he was pursuing the question: “What kind of man are you looking for?” She sat quietly for a moment before looking him in the eye & asking, ‘Do you really want to know?’ Reluctantly, he said,”Yes.” She began to expound… “As a woman in this day & age, I am in a position to ask a man what can you do for me that I can’t do for myself? I pay my own bills. I take care of my household without the help of any man…or woman for that matter. I am in the position to ask, ‘What can you bring to the table?’” The man looked at her. Clearly he thought that she was referring to money. She quickly corrected his thought & stated, “I am not referring to money. I need something more. I need a man who is striving for excellence in every aspect of life.” He sat back in his chair, folded his arms, & asked her to explain. She said, “I need someone who is striving for excellence mentally because I need conversation & mental stimulation. I don’t need a simple-minded man. I need someone who is striving for excellence spiritually because I don’t need to be unequally yoked…believers mixed with unbelievers is a recipe for disaster. I need a man who is striving for excellence financially because I don’t need a financial burden. I need someone who is sensitive enough to understand what I go through as a woman, but strong enough to keep me grounded. I need someone who has integrity in dealing with relationships. Lies and game-playing are not my idea of a strong man. I need a man who is family-oriented. One who can be the leader and provider to the lives entrusted to him by God. I need someone whom I can respect. In order to be submissive, I must respect him. I cannot be submissive to a man who isn’t taking care of his business. I have no problem being submissive…he just has to be worthy. And by the way, I am not looking for him…He will find me. He will recognize himself in me. Hey may not be able to explain the connection, but he will always be drawn to me. God made woman to be a help-mate for man. I can’t help a man if he can’t help himself.” When she finished her spill, she looked at him. He sat there with a puzzled look on his face. He said,”You are asking a lot.” She replied, “I’m worth a lot”.✌❤

GIRLS just wanna have FUN

Again another late post but let us all go back to our Bridal Shower preparation for none other than Sexy Lexy :)

It was dated February 24, same year. We were all busy at work...yes I'm not using the productive word for this coz it was really a busy day. Most of us work on morning shift to prepare for the evening party that we have.

Change of plans....
- PLAN A -  we'll have a complimentary room at BHotel c/o Papa Joms, unfortunately business is so good in BHotel that our reservation needs to be cancelled coz they're running full. We can't protest nor complain - it's business and it's our Company.
- PLAN B - Charle's place near Bhotel...almost okay although not all know where it is.
- PLAN C - Get a room in Bellevue! Finally...PLAN C was pursued. Special Thanks to Sir Johnny for this comp room for Ms. Lexy's Bridal shower.

Ok! Location was good, and convenient for all - a suite room yey! :)

While I was preparing for the location / hotel room the others are also preparing. Some of them bought the cake, the food deliveries and the others the invites - TEXT BRIGADE to know that venue was changed. Then we went to Shopwise to buy foods, gifts, etc. It was really fun hanging out with these girls even though it was also stressful coz of the time constraint.

I forgot to mention it's a LINGERIE THEME!!! although not most of us is on our lingerie. - CONSERVATIVE!!!! hahaha

Now the party begins:

We had late dinner first. We were all full for this event...full of LAUGHTER and full TUMMY too! We were so prepared that we even bought food for breakfast!

GAMES! - Tequila shot - There's a game that I don't know how they called it. It goes like this - we name a category - give something that goes with that category. For example...Britney Spears songs - then it goes around and in 5 seconds if you don't get to say anything you take a shot! It was really fun coz not most of us drink and I am guilty of that!

We did let Ms. Lex open the gifts that we have for her. Some naughty and some nice! :)

Finally...the STRIPPER!!! this one's funny! As you can see it's not all girls in the party, we have 2 guys who's with us too...but their safe! Totally! haha! They feel more women than us. Anyway, we blindfolded Ms. Lex and let her look for a safety pin in a guy's body...that was just CHARLES! Supposedly it was one of the boys from the hotel or a REAL STRIPPER but since we are sooooo NICE...we didn't take a real stripper!

The cake is so funny too and we bought chocolate lollipops shaped as...yeah you tell me! It's all bought at Kink Cakes, they have a lot of branches in Manila and we ordered at the closest to us - BF Homes.

It was a great night for all of us and I'm pretty sure Sexy Lexy enjoyed it too - the proof - Husband to be Rodel "Cutie" texted me and thanking me for the event that we planned for her. :)

The GOOD girls have gone BAD...nope - won't happen...GIRLS just wanna have FUN! And as always - it's FUN working with these people! :)

Closure!

What if's??? Those are mostly my thinking for the past couple of months or let's say it's been a year!

It should've been me. I should've been there that night. What was I thinking?! And all of my friends would blame me for my actions. I have to agree with them, it's my fault. I was so dependent that he'll always be around. He's just going to be there since he has been waiting from the very first time we met.

My story has not been a secret to my friends. I live an open book life. I share my thoughts coz I just can't keep it all unto myself. This week has given me mixed emotions. God has definitely plan this week just for me to do the right thing. I just can't decide for myself, I might do wrong moves again and again that would just result to more "What ifs" and more "That should've been me".

Closure - Do we need it? Why do we need it?

I guess not everyone has their own closure when it comes to a relationship. Others try to just forget, some gets even and some just hated the person.

We need closure because sometimes we feel responsible about something and it bothers us, we want to 'move on' following the termination of a relationship with another individual, we were hurt and we want to be able to express it to the other person and sometimes we want closure because we actually want the other person back.

Yes a lot of reasons, a lot of interpretation. It means different things at different times. But for me...I just wanted closure in order for me to explain my side and show the other person how genuine I am for what I needed to explain.

I pray for this moment to come and whatever consequences it may lead to, it'll end up me having the relief to move on and to be happy again. And it did! It was definitely a relief, if only I can write down here everything that happened from Monday til now but I don't want to...

The best part is, my mission was done. We are okay and whatever feelings we still have for each other we know where we stand. Just as what he usually tells me "People make their own choices in life; choices of what they wanted to do, where they wanted to be and who they wanted to be with. We don't owe anyone an apology...it's the choices that we make."

With God's grace, He saved us both from our feelings and gave us both wisdom to do what is right and what is necessary. I have a clear conscience - I didn't break up a relationship...an engagement. He is such a great guy and I lost him - The One That Got Away!

I am just so thankful that God gave me the chance to know him even though I lost him. God made me realize that every person I meet is greater than the other and the best is yet to come.

A lot of songs I can definitely relate to now but here's some that I like the most.

These Hard Times - Matchbox Twenty
...say goodbye, these days are gone
And we can't keep holding on
When all we need is some RELIEF through these hard times...

When I was your Man - Boyce Avenue cover feat Fifth Harmony

(M) Although it hurts I'll be the first to say that I was wrong
(F) Oh, I know it's probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
So I just want you to know
I hope he buys me flowers, I hope he holds my hand
Gives me all his hours when he has the chance
(M) Take you to every party cause I remember how much you loved to dance
(F) Do all the things you should have done when you were my man!
Do all the things you should have done when you were my man!
(M) Do all the things I should have done when I was your man!

It's hard to live a life full of regrets and what ifs. He's been part of my life. A chapter in my story and it has ended now. But this time it was a great, meaningful, lesson learned chapter of my life. I'm excited to open a new chapter now...and I trust it all in God's Perfect Time.

Cebu: Queen City of Smiles

My Mom's only wish on their 38th Anniversary is to visit Cebu. This wish was granted last February 2-4. It was a post Anniversary celebration and this post is a late one too.

It was I and my parents who had the trip to Cebu. How I really wish all my sisters could go to but they can't having a family that lives from different part of the world, well it is really hard to get a vacation all at the same time. We are blessed we had that family reunion last year.

Back to Cebu! This was a blessed trip as I may say and my first time to travel with just my parents, I know how excited they were too. Thanks to the promo fare of Air Philippines, now named as PALexpress. We were actually transferred to PAL as a complimentary privilege.

On our first day, we decided to have a City tour and since we were so early that our hotel rooms were not ready yet, we left our luggage and started our Cebu trip. By the way, another gift is we stayed at Allure Hotel and Suites owned by the family of Sir Joms (Bhotel's Hotel Operation's Manager) :) He gave me a big discount and super thanks to that.

Back to the City tour. :) The weather was great, it was not that sunny although we did experienced some rain but just enough. We visited both Cebu City and Mactan Island in one day. We visited Taoist temple, here we could not take pictures of their buddhas, its too sacred to them. Then, Cebu Provincial Capitol, Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro, Mactan Monument, and Lapu-Lapu Shrine; we then visited famous hotels and resorts in Mactan to have our day trip the next day through our paid taxi driver. Yes, we did not get any package, I just searched on some of the famous places to visit in Cebu and then drive along with it. We had our lunch at Sutukil restaurant. It's similar so Dampa although they have their fresh seafoods in an aquarium and it's quite expensive too but of course just to try, money never matters when you're travelling. :)

After our City tour, we head back to our hotel room to have a nap. It was a tiring day but we had fun. Just look at these couple. Sleeping - so sweet! <3

It's always good to have a rest from a day full of walking and sight-seeing. :) So we decided to have dinner just near the hotel, and the perfect spot - LARSIANS. I've been hearing this place from my colleague Adonis who's also from Cebu. It's not a fancy restaurant, rather a place for barbecue. :) It was really good, although a lot of smoke in the area but the food was awesome. Maka-Masa too describe it. Their rice is wrapped and it costs around 5 or 6 pesos only, then you choose from different kinds of food then they will cook it for you. We ordered, isaw, barbecue and just some drinks. That's all and we were all full. It didn't even cost me that much so for trippers who wants a very affordable meal, go to LARSIANS! They're famous and not hard to find. :)

Second day, we had a good breakfast courtesy of the hotel, then head to Sto. Nino de Cebu church to hear a mass, which my parents wished for. Indeed, there were a lot of people attending the Church besides that's it really famous it's going traditional and shows their faith. After the mass, we went to Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel. It was just a day trip for us. Instead of traveling to Bantayan Island we decided to have a beach on a nearer side. My parents needed to relax and not too much hassle on traveling so I decided to just have this day trip. It's affordable, for they have day trips for about php795 nett and with free buffet lunch at their La Marina restaurant. You can also stay there for an overnight or if you don't need a room, it's fun to sleep by the pool through their benches. If you worry about your valuables, they do have safe where you can keep them.  We just had the great family bonding here under the sun. The food was worth it and the weather was fantastic.
After our day trip we had a long drive going to TOPS. It's a famous tourist attraction where you can see the Cebu city from above. Although we were like 100meters in reaching the destination but it was so scary. We did not push it. It was raining and the fog was too thick we can't even see the road, no lights on just the car lights and we were on a zigzag over a cliff. So we told the driver to not pursue it. It's way too dangerous for us. But still we enjoyed the scary ride. :D

To end the night, we ate LECHON! Famous in Cebu and what better place to try it on is in CNT Lechon. Better make reservations coz they always ran out of lechon. That's how good it tastes. :)

Back to the hotel, it was our last night in Allure Hotel and they have this promo for massage. I wanted it so badly so I grabbed the opportunity. :) It was an hour and a half whole body massage and so far it was the best massage. I fell asleep. Can you believe it? Either I am that too exhausted or I just really felt relaxed. I always have my massage but I never fall asleep but my therapist made a good job of making me fell asleep. :)

The next morning, we had our breakfast at the hotel, packed our things and went to Crown Regency Hotel in Cebu City. We had a good deal here as well since I know a good travel agent who offered me package for my parents. We got a good room, high floor with a nice view. We unpacked our things and decided to have lunch to a famous local restaurant just walking distance form the hotel named - CASA VERDE! Green House in English. You wouldn't even think it was a restaurant, it looks like a house form the outside with a big gate. The food was great! It was affordable and it has big servings. Couldn't ask for more.

Now it's time to shop for pasalubongs. We went to a Market, I totally forgot the place but all dried foods and pasalubongs can be found there. Kind of costly but it doesn't matter. As long as it's a gift for those we left behind from our tour. Then back to the hotel to have some time in the pool and their jacuzzi.

After our pool bonding, we went back to refresh ourselves and prepare for dinner. Another part of the package and this dinner includes free rides on their extreme adventure. Before the dinner I was preparing all the inclusions in the package and let my parents had their massage first. So I decided might as well explore the hotel myself and I've met some employees too and some guests.
The buffet dinner was great. They have a lot of selection plus the desserts were awesome. A lot of food attendants in the area. I think most of them are trainees and they were very pleasant. After dinner I went back to the room to change so I could have more fun in the adventure. All of us tried the Skywalk adventure. You should see the reaction of my Mom having fear of heights. It was really funny but I know she enjoyed it. We all did. Then we tried the Edge Coaster adventure, this time just me and my Dad. It was scary at first but then you get used to the ride. Another Great Experience!

Then off we go to have a goodnight sleep. Ended our last night in Cebu with a blast of adventure.

The next morning, we all had breakfast at their restaurant and had a lunch at their Chinese restaurant.

Good thing we had a late check out so we had more time to pack our things. And so we bid goodbye to the oldest City in the Philippines and the Queen City of Smile. Thank you for all the smiles we received, from the txi drivers, the attendants, the employees, the security guards, the vendors and more.

I will definitely go back to explore more of this Island. Probably, more adventure on Bantayan Island. :)

It's all about LOVE!

Just like what the priest in the video said "This is all about LOVE! Hindi pinaguusapan dito yung sobrang ganda, hindi pinaguusapan dito ang yaman. It's all about love."

This is one of the most touching and inspiring wedding videos I've seen. It was so remarkable because despite the height they managed to show their love for one another and stated wonderful vows! Truly amazing how God works through love in mysterious ways.

True love never dies! I dedicate this video to my closest friends who are about to get married by next week! Lex and Rodel and Darwin and Abi!

I wish both these couple to have a meaningful, wonderful, and blessed marriage life!

Congrats guys!

Credit belongs to Mr. Jason Magbanua! A very inspiring wedding video! :)

Bellevue Manila goes to Bellevue Resort Bohol!

Finally another trip to Bohol! This is once again a 3D/2N tour with my colleagues and bosses. It was fun to be back again and this time it is fully operational. We of course stayed at our sister company hotel - The Bellevue Resort in Doljo, Panglao, Bohol.

On the first day, after arriving at the resort and experiencing the VIP treatment again (well talking about the welcome greetings, express check-in, comfy rooms and full board meals plus tours) we had lunch - Italian way for our dishes were pizza and pasta! Happy tummy! Yummy! Then we had some quick rest and proceed to our island hopping! It was fun but when we started diving at the beach it was so itchy and so we get back on the boat. I remember the night at the boat, while we were waiting for the smaller boat to bring us back at the hotel, I was telling creepy stories with a narrative old person voice like Lola Basyang (one of my hidden talents)! That was really funny and not scary at all! :P

Before we even get back to our rooms we made a quick dip in the pool that night then hurried to prepare for dinner at the Lamian restaurant. After dinner, we had the moonlight view over the pool. We were just there with our drinks, telling stories about our hotel experiences and it was a great night with my glass of wine under the full moonlight! What a view!

Second day, picture taking plus heavy breakfast and lunch then a half day tour by the afternoon. We went to the Baclayon church, visited the museum, went to meet Prony _ the anaconda plus the entertainer which I totally forgot the name, then an adventure trip at Eco-Adventure in Loboc. Here we experience a 500 meter zipline in a two-way which makes it like a 1 kilometer ride. Another super fun adventure as I may say! And for our last stop, ice cream at Bohol Bee farm plus to buy pasalubongs. :) After dinner, we had still some picture taking plus a night swimming. It was a night to remember although it was freakin' cold! One more memorable thing that happened is that we stayed up late or should I say until 4:45am, just the six of us, me, Jershey, Ms. Glen, Ms. Jem, Karissa and Gail.We talked about a lot of stuff, happy and sweet moments and more, of course what happened in Bohol stays in Bohol so I don't need to elaborate on that. :)

After not sleeping at all or probably 2-3 hours only we hurried for breakfast then another picture taking by the beach and swam at the pool. One more adventure is that I had the nerve to dive a 12ft pool! For me an achievement and I loved it! I think I did jump around 8-10 times already and I learned my lesson to jump / dive the right way coz I had bruises - water pressure I think but I'm all good and totally happy!

So in any case you guys planned to visit Bohol, please do not hesitate to stay at the Bellevue resort in Doljo, Panglao. The beach itself is pure fine white sand (free foot spa from the sand), the pool is great plus you have to try diving and whatever the resort can offer (food and accommodation) is totally awesome!

I'll be sharing the video I made about us jumping / wrong diving by the pool! I'll definitely go back and try this again! :) FUN diving under the SUN

We are very grateful for the VIDEOSTAR app :) In this travel it has been our companion for all the memories shot on vid! :) So enjoy and watch our crazy acts! More videos to come. :)

CHIQUEI's Adventure!!!

Try Diving at Bellevue Resort in Bohol!

We have a saying that you haven't been to Bellevue Bohol if you haven't tried diving! And so I did, not just once, nor twice but a lot of times and it was so FUN!!!

Here's a clip I made of our fun times! ENJOY!

Larcy's Cupcakery Cafe -> Sweets for my Sweets :)

Yeah! keep on singing...

Sweets for my sweet
Sugar for my Honey
Your first sweet kiss
Thrilled me so
Sweets for sweet
Sugar for my honey
I'll never ever let you go

Who wouldn't say NO to cakes, cupcakes, chocolates, super cute and pinkish ambiance, chocolate drinks and more sweets! Well unless you're diabetic this is a NO-NO for you or maybe just an itsy bitsy bite can do. :) But wait...there's more...they do not settle just for sweets, they also offer, pasta, drinks and rice meals! So whether you're on a diet, on for sweets like me or a diabetic...you're still welcome! :)

It was unintentional for me to be in this place. I accompanied my friend Alisa, who's supposed to meet her best friend for a business meeting - see we are actually having a business meeting on a very cozy place. :)

The two girls (Alisa and Roxanne) are busy having their business meeting :)

I would say definitely a good place to set your moods right. Larcy's Cupcakery Cafe is located at BF Parañaque and it has two levels. The first floor is mostly for dining guests and the second floor mostly is used for private function. This place is one of my option to host the bridal shower for my friend Sexy Lexy although about the bridal shower will come in the next future blogs.

The glass kitchen :)
Can see the cleanliness of their masterpieces with me and the oh so yummy cupcakes!

So back to LARCY's :) I wasn't able to personally meet the owner, at that time she wasn't around but the staff were really great, very accommodating and really gave me a lot of info I needed for the bridal shower. So again, much thanks to all of you guys! Keep up the good work. :)

The orders :)
Notice the menu? They just wrote it down (so personalize)
and the bottled water (so pinkish) :)

Different style of chairs...ooohhh so COZY!
- for kids,groups, lads -

Take one home!!! Other products they offer besides foods to eat :)

The super cute lavatory! All the designs are so attractive!

The second floor set-up
They arranged it how I wanted to picture it out! Thanks guys!

They are open for private parties, kiddie parties, birthdays, etc.
That's why I'm exited to somehow held an event here in the near future.
One of those future events I'll host! :)
I recommend this to all my friends and readers and co-bloggers. :)
A must-try to taste and visit! I'm coming back for sure to taste more of those sweets and pasta!!! :)

Sissy Ariane's dinner treat!

Our lovely sister Ariane turned 24 this year and as the celebrant, she treated us for dinner. Unluckily our other sister Thea was not there with us PHYSICALLY that night. Yes, I literally wrote physically coz we did somehow chat with her and with Bogs via Skype. Thanks to the technology our friendship goes beyond miles. :)

First of, special thanks to Ariane for the dinner treat!  really thought you'd say it's on KKB...hahah I knew you can't say NO to us and that's why we love you even though you're kuripot. :) Next is, the TIME that we have...we've been friends for 8 years and counting. This year we'll have more time to meet up, for wedding arrangements, for travels, for sleepovers, etc. Lastly, the FRIENDSHIP, despite our differences we somehow compliment each other and we perfectly fit with one another. We are too different from one another, we have our own problems, anxieties and insecurities and yet...we still have our own accomplishments, gratitude and more that keeps us laughing and crying about almost anything.

Enjoy the pictures and a short video that we had that night. :)

Dinner - California Pizza Kitchen, Greenbelt
Coffee & Tea break + Skype  - Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Greenbelt

This group of friends I have is for keep! I wouldn't count the years of our friendship
for I know it'll never END!

BIGKIS rewards

For the effort of busy handling the Christmas Party and the giving off of DIVIDENDS...a dinner treat for all of us. Thanks to our HR Manager Ms. Mary Anne and the rest of the group!

It was definitely a night of gluttony at Yakimix, ATC. Although we weren't complete that night after our dinner we needed a break. TEA and COFFEE break. :) The only thorn among the roses who stayed was Sir Marlown.

Hoping for another night out of food, laughter and bonding!
This is our last year and let's make the most out of it! BIGKIS! :)

Bellevue Beach Christmas Party

As one of the organizers for this event I am very proud to present another video (compilation of photos) from our Christmas Party. It was a fun night full of booze, food, and prizes.

Congratulations to all the winners of the dance presentation the Food and Beverage Service, Sales and Front Office Departments. As well as to our Mr. Kilabots of the night! :) Of course for those who participated and give their best shot for the competition we all deserve a tap on the back and a big round of applause. :)

To all our bosses from the whole Chan family and to all who helped the BIGKIS team to coordinate the event, the banquet staff, the stewarding and housekeeping personnel, the HR department, the emcees and a lot more to name. :) I am very grateful to be part of the BIGKIS family and another year of service. More fun! More development! More activities! More bonding! :)

KUDOS BIGKIS TEAM!

The hOLiDAys

Christmas and New Year is definitely the longest holidays we can have every year! As for me and my other colleagues...we don't have long holidays instead we work most at these times. As much as I wanted to spend more time with my friends and families on holidays this is the career I chose and it's part of being in a service-oriented industry.

Well somehow I spent my Christmas eve and New Year's eve with my family and just a simple gathering since it's just the three of us left here. And now, here are videos (photo collection) at home and at work. :)

Happy Holidays and ENJOY watching the videos. :)

NEVER run out of time with OLD FRIENDS!

"Ang biglaang lakad natutuloy...ang planado ASA KA PA!"

Before I went to work I GM my friends about a dinner that would happen that night. No location, no time just an invite...then comes what's next! FIX SCHEDULE!

The funny thing is we are somehow complete despite the fact that we do work on separate departments, has different shifts, some are not working at the hotel anymore and yet...we managed to meet up! A simple dinner at Gilligan's ATC then followed by a coffee and tea time at Starbucks' Molito.

We are definitely aging...before we used to hang out every after work of 11pm. Stay at either Molokai or whatever names of the bars in Festival, then stay up late until 4 or 5am. That was our bonding before and now??? DINNER and COFFE/TEA! So mababait the old friends.

Well OLD FRIENDS will be useless if we don't have Chris with us. Why? Because he's the oldest hahahaha!!! Kidding aside, it was a fun night! Good times always with them!
